At Parlor Hair Boutique, your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website and booking system, how we use it, and how we keep it safe. We're located in Brea, CA, and we serve clients throughout Orange County and beyond.

Information We Collect

When you submit a booking request, we collect:

  • Your name, email address, and phone number
  • Whether you're a new or returning client
  • Preferred dates and times
  • Answers to service-specific intake questions (such as hair history or desired look)
  • Any additional notes you include
  • Inspiration photos you upload for your appointment
  • Current hair photos, if you choose to share them

We also collect some information automatically:

  • Anonymous usage analytics through PostHog (page views, general interactions)
  • Standard server logs through Vercel (IP address, browser type, pages visited)

How We Use Your Information

  • Processing and managing your booking request
  • Helping your stylist prepare for your appointment
  • Communicating with you about your appointment via email
  • Improving our website and services through anonymous analytics

Storage & Protection

Your information is stored securely with Supabase (powered by AWS), which encrypts all data at rest using AES-256 encryption. All connections to our website and services use TLS encryption in transit.

Current hair photos are stored in a private storage bucket that is not publicly accessible. Admin access to booking data is password-protected and rate-limited to prevent unauthorized access.

Data Retention

  • Booking records are retained for up to 1 year
  • Current hair photos are deleted within 30 days of your appointment, as noted during upload
  • Inspiration photos are kept with your booking record for stylist reference
  • You can request deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting us at hello@parlor.hair

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate our website:

  • Supabase — Database and file storage
  • Resend — Appointment confirmation emails
  • PostHog — Anonymous website analytics
  • Vercel — Website hosting
  • Google Maps — Embedded map on our contact page

We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.

Your California Privacy Rights

If you're a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you the following rights:

  • Right to know — You can request what personal information we've collected about you
  • Right to delete — You can request that we delete your personal information
  • No sale of data — We do not sell personal information, so there is no need to opt out
  • Non-discrimination — We will not treat you differently for exercising your privacy rights

To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@parlor.hair. We'll respond within 45 days.

Children's Privacy

Our website and booking system are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted personal information to us, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this privacy policy, we'll post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
